Day 8 Something You Do Everyday

Time to get back to the normalcy of everyday. The election is over. The ads, the intesity of emotion by people over party platforms. The ridiculous Facebook posts. The end of the world may be here if......

November is here. I am committing my mind to being Thankful. I am committing my focus to the everyday moments and living in them. I am counting my blessings that I can live freely, practice my religion, have my faith and live my life without constraints.

Something you do every day

Design Wall Monday

It took me all week to finish this block of the month. I have to say the last 6 in the BOM are the hardest. There is a mariners compass that I am concerned about!! I really like how this one turned out and I would make a whole quilt with it. I have 5 more blocks to do in this quilt.

Here is a re sculpt of the faces on my first two amigurumi. I am really been bitten by the bug. I love the fast results and the artistic rendering of the faces. Of which, I need much more practice. My sister and I started this journey together via the inter net and we are having so much fun. She is working on cute little monsters and a zoo for her grand baby. I am working on a larger 12" Santa gnome and a Russian nesting doll. I have to find that wool felt. I know it's around here someplace......

We moved the clocks back this weekend. I woke up at 430 this am. but had fit full sleep until 6. I am looking forward to o'dark thirty today. Early. NOT!!

At the risk of sounding like my grandma, has anyone else noticed the high price of turkey for Thanksgiving???? I am waiting to see any kind of sale.

Happy Monday, check out all the quilts that people are working on at www.patchworktimes.com

Sunday's are nice and relaxing this time of year

I reworked the faces of these two, I like them now!!

I made cinnamon oatmeal muffins for snacks.

I think that I continue to try to do too much on my time off from work. I wanted to have 5 quilt blocks done in addition to the projects pictured. I may have one done by bedtime. I have need to learn to relax more instead of feeling that I have to be constantly working. I am learning.

waiting for inspiration....

I have a stack of fabric. I enjoy the colors and the greens are some of my favorite. I really like the modern pattern.

But,
I can't cut into it yet. I don't know what pattern to use. I have no ideas. I want to show case the large scale prints and have a larger blocks.

Hmmm. I have three quilts I am finishing up and this one is next. Maybe if I can think of what to do.

Until then, I am finishing up the BOM, the Super Mario quilt along and a black quilt for a pattern.

I will come up with something!!! And if I don't, I will make a scrap quilt with the ton of scraps in the bin.
No worries about have no projects in this house.

November is here!

Starts with a C-Candle!

What a difference a few days make, the field was photographed 2 weeks ago. Now it is cold, snowy, rainy and the days are gray. I am not a fan of the long dark evenings and it will get worse after the clocks change Saturday-fall back 1 hour. The mornings are a bit brighter but it makes the evenings so dark, so early.

That's where the candles come in. I like the soft light they give. They save electricity and light up the darker areas that need just a bit to keep the gloom away. I am going to continue a photo a day this month by fatmumslim. I like having a challenge topic and it gives me a chance to improve my photography skills and editing.

I am crocheting amigurumi. Not sure why. I love the cute factor. I don't have grandchildren. I think I just will keep several. I am working on a big gnome right now. I like the pick it up and put it down factor. I also am sore when I sit and sew too long.

November is the month for me to focus on being thankful. I am thankful for vehicles that run. They have been aging, getting repairs and yesterday my car's battery went dead. Today they are running. I am thankful for the independence they give.
