Design Wall Monday and a Giveaway

I have two Blocks done from the block of the Month from my local quilt shop. I have two more in progress. I plan to start Mario in the Super Mario quilt along. Getting back to work after my stay cation has decreased my productivity, ha ha!

The Binding Marathon has begun. I have one quilt done. I have four more ready to achieve my goals. I am hand sewing these bindings while watching the Olympics. I have had so much fun watching already. I need to watch the Opening ceremony yet but I will! I love the volley ball and gymnastics. Link up here

I spent Saturday at our local Highland games and you can see pics in my previous post.

Now for the give away! In honor of the Binding marathon, I am giving away a prize. Three quilt patterns- Row Bots from Swirly Girls design, Lucky 21 from Swirly Girl designs and Double Iris from Quilters Treasure. There are a few pieces of fabric to get you started! All you have to do is let me know what your favorite Olympic event/moment. And don't forget to link up to the binding Marathon so we can encourage each other. I plan to have a linky Party on Friday to see every one's progress!

Work does have a bad habit of interfering with hobbies, glad you are still getting some sewing in. Great looking blocks, and binding is always a good thing.

Gymnastics has got to be my most favorite. Good luck on the binding marathon. Seems there are always little challenges that get put off until they reach marathon proportions.

Lovely blocks -- you don't often see the partial seaming. And very nice giveaway (but don't put me in the draw -- I have sooo many UFOs I can hardly stand it)!

Love the blocks, those are great colors. I've been watching the olympics on and off. Like you I still haven't seen the opening ceremony, but on my to do list. I did enjoy watching the swimming. I love when the underdog wins. Thanks or the chance in the giveaway :)

My favorite moment was watching Mary Lou Retton win back in the 80s. I was up late last night doing binding!

Very pretty blocks. Glad your marathon is going well. I think the swimming has been the most fun to watch. DD is on the local swim team and to hear her shout out things during the heats that her coach does during her events has been vastly entertaining.

I am really enjoying Volleyball for a number of reasons. The least important of all is muscles in tight shirts. LOL I also like the one where they push a ball towards areas and then sweep it with a broom to where they want. It is funny to watch.

Beautiful blocks! Loved Mr. Bean in the opening ceremony. He was a hoot!

Binding marathon is such a good idea! I have been working on hand quilting a king size quilt while I've been watching - my favorite is the women's gymnastics!

Your blocks are soo pretty. I've been watching the Olympics while binding a customer quilt too. I enjoy gymnastics and beach volleyball. Hope the US takes gold in them both, although last night was disappointing in women's gymnastics.

I cannot believe you are doing a binding marathon! My hands would kill me! I love your blocks and quilts! I have been following the Olympics and especially the swimming! Yet the women's volleyball was interesting!

I like the gymnastics the best. I also love your BOM batik quilt you are working on. Love those colors. Thanks

I love everything about the Olympics. Since I can't pick one, I'll tell you what I don't like. Weight lifting and boxing!

To bad work interferes with watching for me.
