Something New

I thought the pincushion featured in the magazine pictured, was really cute. Mine is pretty sassy for the first time through!! It isn't stuffed yet because I need to add the reinforcement interfacing, as called for in the pattern, and add the rose on the top. So far it looks close to the pattern and I am so pleased!!

It snowed last night but melted. Whew, not quite ready for the white stuff yet. Snow does inspire me to get moving on my holiday plans, though.

I really like it. You have done a great job. You picked some fabrics that work just right. Cannot wait to see it when it is done! No snow here yet, keep it up your way ok?

Vicki,
I am pretty much a newbie when it comes to Scottie's. Like you I have always loved their looks. Mine is still just a pup. She turns one this month. Tons of energy. She is not a lap dog at all. Hubby did not want another dog but my daughters talked him into getting her along with them for me last Christmas. She is sweet but she has her moments. They love to dig. I guess that is a Terrier thing. She will chase anything that moves so we have to walk her on a leash even though we live in the middle of the woods. We are afraid we will loose her chasing after all the squirrels we have. I think she would be perfect for a small town dog. Her mother was very well behaved and was quiet when we went to pick her up. I'm hoping that in the next year she will calm down a bit. Problem is Jeff plays rough with her, so that is how she likes to play. Would not give her up for anything. I guess I would suggest you check out a book on Scotties from the library that might help more than me. lol.
