Design Wall Monday

I am working on a small version of the Black quilt in a white background and setting triangles. My aunt ordered it for her son's wedding. It will have three borders on it with the five blocks in the middle. I think it will be about 50x70 when finished.
Huge difference between the "attitude" of these quilts and the only change is the background color!

Both look great. Your color choices really work with this design. I think I'll prefer the black but I'll wait to see if that is the case until the new one is farther along.

What a dramatic look. I love the colors and I think either background would look good because of the striking tree colors!!

I am partial to the black background one, but am anxious to see after the other is complete. May change my mind. :) Both are beautiful to look at.

I think one of the things I have most learned while quilting is that color makes all the difference. Your quilt is beautiful and the "on white" one will be, too.

Oh I fell in love with the one with the black background when you first showed it, now there's a white background. I love them both. When do we get to see the one with grey :)

I will be making an amish-type quilt in the future. I love the contrast between the black and the vibrant colors. Make sure we see the finished result before passing it on.

Really pretty blocks. They are looking great in both the original black and the new white ones. Quite a change from last weeks civil war colors!

Love the variegation in each block.

I think both versions are so great but I prefer the drama of the black background. The colors just jump right off of that one, so dramatic and bold!

What a beautiful rainbow of colors in your blocks. The black background is stunning, but the white will give it a fresh, clean look.
