Design Wall Monday

Straight set or on point:? Here are two EQ renderings for my Civil War Diary Quilt.... I haven't decided. What do you think? Is the on point setting for a queen sized quilt possible?

Tomorrow will feature my Tiny 6 inch blocks...only 8 more to go and I have completed the blocks for this quilt.

I like the look of the blocks on point better.

I like both settings. The on point setting will make a larger size quilt...that is usually how I decide :)

Well, I really like the on point version best. It seems to give the quilt more movement. And, sure, it's possible. I would have asked if the 6" blocks were possible. ;-)

I'm voting with the On-point people as usual. Something about those blocks that changes when set that way! Have fun you're almost done.

Diagonal lines always add so much interest, and as others said, increase the project size. But I like both settings. Draw straws?

i'm with the crowd on this one - I prefer the on point setting too. What a great set of blocks you have made!

I love quilts on point, but this one looks good either way.

on point is the more dynamic lay out I think. It would totally work if you need the extra size. What would you fill in the side triangles with?

I like the on point - but they hurt my brain to sew sometimes!

I like them both so I'm no help to you. Absolutely lovely quilt and so much work.

Oh I may be the only one that likes this one in rows (not on point). Not sure why, I usually love on point but for the small blocks I like the rows. Congrats on getting them all done. Which ever way you go it will be amazing when done.
