What I have been up to this afternoon

I did decided to start my Victory Quilt with the Victory Garden fabrics. This is a Quilt in a day design and I have the book. It is the best one Eleanor Burns has published, I think.

I made one last spring in scrappy colors. I wanted a white background to go with the patriotic theme in the 40's fabrics. I needed the bright colors to counteract the drab January grey days.
These are also 6 inch blocks but pieced.

Nice blocks. I love watching Eleanor Burns throwing her scraps over her shoulder. She's a hoot.

I like the blocks. I watched Eleanor Burns years ago when my kids were little. When she would throw those scraps over her shoulder onto the floor, my kids would go nuts, laughing and imitating her.
Seriously, she's one of the best teachers ever.

Looks like Eleanor is all over the place since her blocks are on my wall, too.

Very nice. I can't get Eleanor Burns show anymore, but she does a great job.
